Job Summary:
The healthcare provider is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for a position on the Post Partum Floor in Anaheim, California. The role involves providing specialized postpartum care, monitoring maternal and neonatal patients, and supporting family education. This full-time opportunity offers nighttime shifts with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care in a dynamic clinical environment.

Job Details:

• Location: Anaheim, California
• Schedule: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications:
  • 1-year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
  • Demonstrated ability to perform electronic fetal monitoring
  • Demonstrated IV skills and ability to perform lab draws
  • Knowledge of high-risk medication administration (Magnesium, Oxytocin, Insulin)
  • Ability to perform Urine Point of Care testing
  • Knowledge of capillary blood glucose testing
  • Experience with IStat point of care testing
  • Ability to perform adult cardiac and neonatal monitoring including pulse oximetry and cardiac monitoring
  • Skilled in heel sticks and venipuncture on newborns
  • Knowledge of newborn medications, IV administration, and maintenance
  • Familiarity with Bili-blankets, lights, and radiant warmers
  • Support for postpartum and maternal-newborn teaching
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in nursing or related field
  • Minimum three (3) years of labor and delivery experience
  • Minimum three (3) years of postpartum nursing experience
  • Minimum one (1) year of medical-surgical nursing experience
