First Line Leader
On-Board PMO is hiring a First Line Leader in Cleveland, OH. Position details include a 2 year contract with additional opportunity contingent upon performance and continued business need. Job location is Cleveland, OH with a day shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Benefits include 401K, dental insurance, life insurance, medical insurance, vision insurance, and PTO. Compensation is $45.19/HR.
Position summary: The First Line Leader is responsible for leading daily production activities for one shift at the Cleveland site. This role supervises approximately 30 production employees, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality operations while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will drive operational excellence through strong leadership, employee development, safety compliance, and production performance.
Key responsibilities include leading shift operations to meet safety, quality, production, and efficiency goals; promoting and modeling Qnity core values and a culture of continuous improvement; communicating shift objectives, performance metrics, and business goals to team members; coaching, developing, and holding employees accountable for safety, quality, attendance, and performance standards; supporting employee development through training, feedback, and performance management; fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work environment; ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures and site policies; leading and participating in safety, environmental, health, and quality investigations; facilitating problem-solving activities and implementing corrective actions; monitoring labor utilization, overtime, operating supplies, and other controllable costs; completing leader standard work activities, including routine production floor walkthroughs; managing staffing levels to support production requirements; addressing employee relations and personnel issues effectively and professionally; coordinating equipment readiness for maintenance and contractor activities, including lockout/tagout procedures, decontamination, and work permits; and becoming qualified as a safe work permit writer.
Qualifications required include a high school diploma or GED equivalent, minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, strong computer skills and proficiency with standard business software applications, and demonstrated ability to lead teams, prioritize work, and solve problems in a fast-paced production environment.
Preferred qualifications include previous supervisory, team lead, or people leadership experience; experience with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, six sigma, or operational excellence programs; and knowledge of process safety management, safety systems, and manufacturing best practices.
