Role: Java Production Support
Location: Reston, VA or Washington, DC (Hybrid - Onsite once a month)
Shift: Night Shift (11 PM - 7 AM, Monday-Friday)

Job Description:
We are seeking a Java Production Support to support production systems during the night shift. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java, Spring Boot , and RESTful Web Services , ensuring reliability, stability, and continuous uptime of critical CareFirst applications.

Required Skills

Provide production support for mission-critical applications during off-hours.
Troubleshoot system and application issues in real-time to minimize downtime.
Collaborate with day-shift teams for incident follow-up and documentation.
Manage deployments, health checks, and system monitoring activities.
Participate in on-call escalation when required.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience in Java and Spring Boot development.
Strong knowledge of RESTful Web Services.
Solid experience in production support environments.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Exposure to Big Data platforms - a plus.

Mandatory Requirements
Candidates must be able to:

Work the overnight shift (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM EST).
Participate in rotating weekend support schedules.
Attend an onsite second-round interview in either Washington, DC or Reston, VA (no exceptions).
Attend 2-3 weeks of onsite training in Washington, DC or Reston, VA before transitioning to the regular support schedule.
Work onsite once per month following training.
