For a limited time MaineHealth is offering up to $10,000 sign on bonus for all eligible experienced Registered Nurses with 0-2years of experience and $20,000 for experienced Registered Nurses with greater than 2years of experience!

The Cardiac Medical/Surgical Unit at Maine Medical Center Biddeford is a 40 Bed Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) unit providing care of acute medical, cardiac, and telemetry patients, providing a dynamic and supportive environment for nurses at all stages of their careers. Team members care for a diverse patient population while building strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and cardiac monitoring skills. As nurses grow and advance in their practice, opportunities for Intermediate Care (IMC) training are available, allowing them to expand their expertise and confidently care for higher-acuity patients when needed. Our collaborative team is committed to delivering exceptional patient care while fostering professional development and continuous learning. This department is on a self-scheduling model, with normal shifts 12 hours in duration.

Nurse Residency Program (NRP): New graduate RNs and RNs with less than 1 year of experience from date of licensure, accepting a position you are automatically enrolled in our yearlong nurse residency program. The NRP provides guidance and support to new nurses starting their careers. Meet monthly to help with the transition of becoming a professional RN for training, continued learning, group exercises and more.

The MH Registered Nurse - Acute Care role provides high quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient outcomes. Collaborates, delegates, and communicates with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal care. MH RN I: This level represents the beginner in their clinical role. This care team member has less than 12 months experience and is primarily developing the required knowledge and skills to work within their setting. Level I must achieve all performance expectations, by completion of facility and unit orientation, and satisfactorily completing the introductory period.

The Registered Nurse II - Acute Care MMC BID SAN role is responsible for the management of patient care, including clinical nursing practice/caring, leadership, management, professionalism, and growth/development, as well as the independent assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) New Graduate RN: Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred. Licensure/Certification: Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Other certifications may be required specific to area of practice or in accordance with Department guidelines. Experience: New Grad or RN with less than 12 months experience.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs) Experienced RN: Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred. License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. ICU, SCU, ED and PACU RN's require ACLS and PALS Certifications within one year of start date or in accordance with Department guidelines. OB, NICU RN's require NRP Certification within one year of start date or in accordance with Department guidelines. Positions that are fully remote will not require BLS. Experience: One year of RN experience required. Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of a Registered Nurse Acute Care role. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: Annual Electronic Fetal Monitoring competency for any RN assisting Laboring Women required.

The pay range for this position is $35.61 per hour for New Grad RN's (less than 1 year of experience) The pay range for this position is $37.09 to $50.17 per hour for Nurses with greater than 1 year of experience (based on experience). Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
