Marketing Specialist

Kid to Kid is looking for a fun, outgoing, and creative Marketing Specialist to help us build awareness and excitement for our new store in the community! Kid to Kid is not your typical thrift store. We serve the community by paying cash for gently used kids’ things and reselling them at great prices. Our community loves and needs us to help make parenting more affordable while giving quality kids’ items a second life. We are looking for someone who is excited about social media, community events, and connecting with local families. If you are outgoing, creative, organized, and comfortable representing a business both online and in person, this could be a great fit! Responsibilities: Create and post engaging content for our Instagram and Facebook accounts Develop creative Reels, Stories, photos, and posts that showcase our store, merchandise, promotions, events, and community involvement Help grow our social media following, engagement, and overall online presence Maintain a consistent social media content calendar Monitor and respond to comments and messages in a friendly and professional manner Help promote store events, buying events, promotions, and other special activities Research and identify local community events and opportunities to promote Kid to Kid Prepare for and attend local marketing and community events , including vendor fairs, school events, family events, festivals, and other community activities Staff the Kid to Kid booth or marketing table independently or alongside the owner/manager Represent Kid to Kid professionally and enthusiastically when speaking with community members and potential customers Talk with attendees about Kid to Kid, our buying and shopping experience, and what makes our store unique Distribute flyers, promotional materials, giveaways, and other marketing information Encourage event attendees to follow our social media accounts and join our VIP club Help collect potential customer contacts and build relationships within the local community Identify opportunities to partner with local schools, businesses, organizations, and family-focused groups Help create marketing materials using tools such as Canva Track basic marketing results, including follower growth, engagement, event participation, and other marketing activity Assist with other marketing projects and initiatives as needed Ideal Candidate: Loves social media and enjoys creating engaging content Creative and able to come up with new ideas to attract customers and grow our following Outgoing, friendly, and comfortable talking to people Comfortable representing a business at community events Able to work independently and take initiative Organized and dependable Professional and enthusiastic Comfortable using Instagram, Facebook, Canva, and similar platforms Retail, customer service, marketing, event, or social media experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person Benefits: Bonus based on performance Employee discounts Flexible schedule Opportunity for advancement Fun and positive retail environment Opportunity to build marketing, social media, event, and community engagement experience Compensation: $16+/hour Kid to Kid is always looking for fun, friendly people to join our team who are willing to work hard, multitask, take initiative, and take pride in what they do.
