Mortgage Compliance Specialist

We are currently recruiting for a Mortgage Compliance Specialist for a leading mortgage lender and mortgage broker. This role can be flexible depending on location (remote, hybrid or in-office). The office is based in Stamford, CT. Hours are Mon - Fri 9:00am - 5:30pm EST. Comp package 75K - 90K Base + Benefits Package Responsibilities: Oversee the Company's internal compliance functions, including Quality Control (QC). Coordinate with third-party QC vendor to submit loan files, review findings, obtain final reports, analyze results, and present findings and recommendations to management. Coordinate and monitor compliance training to ensure employees remain current with applicable regulatory requirements. Track regulatory updates and changes, assess their impact on the company, and communicate applicable requirements to management and staff. Manage company, branch, and Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) license renewals and related compliance requirements. Work with management on regulatory examinations, Mortgage Call Reports (MCR), HMDA reporting, and other regulatory filings. Review marketing materials, website content, social media, and electronic communications to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies. Requirements: Must have working knowledge of mortgage lending regulations and compliance requirements. Knowledge of mortgage advertising and marketing compliance, including website and social media requirements. Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage multiple responsibilities. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and follow-through. This role can be flexible depending on location (remote, hybrid or in-office). The office is based in Stamford, CT (local candidates preferred but open to fully remote in US).
