We are a full-service accounting firm poised for rapid growth. We are looking for our next Tax Manager to grow with us and eventually become a Director. If you are passionate about providing top level service to your clients, you are interested in developing your own book of business and have a desire to advance to a Director (Partner) role, then our Tax Manager position is one you should consider. This is an in-person job in our Tucson, AZ location.
We are seeking a dynamic, motivated Tax Manager for our Tucson office. As a Tax Manager, you will provide a wide variety of tax services to our clients, offering you an opportunity to work on challenging and varying projects. You will utilize your accounting education and prior experience to assist in all stages of an engagement or project, providing guidance and mentoring to staff.
We desire a Tax Manager with exceptional technology and leadership skills, a candidate who is extremely savvy with ProSystems, Practice Management (or similar billing and client management software) and client portals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tax compliance and advisory services to partnerships, corporations, and S-corporations for a variety of clients as well as individuals.
- Prepare complex tax returns for a variety of corporate and individual clients; review tax returns prepared by staff members for quality assurance.
- Manage a portfolio of clients of varying size and scope and act as the point of contact for internal and external clients.
- Lead a multi-disciplinary team helping to provide industry knowledge and experiences.
- Manage a team of tax professionals and assistants working on client projects.
- Advise clients and be responsible for delivering high quality tax service and advice.
- Complete tax related research and special projects as needed.
- Expand knowledge through exposure to peers, internal experts, clients, regular self-study, and training opportunities.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of tax experience in a public accounting firm
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
- Licensed CPA
- Experience mentoring and counseling staff level team members
- Experience with corporate, partnership and individual taxation as well as consolidations
- Experience managing multiple client engagements and client service teams
