Project Construction Manager

Purpose and Role The Project Engineering Construction Manager reports directly to the Project Engineering Lead. In this role, The Construction Manager is expected to be a liaison for contractors working for Calumet. By working closely with contractors, the Construction Manager will streamline: communication, expectations, performance, and execution including invoicing checks and timecard management. Key Objectives / Responsibilities Ensure by leadership that all work is performed safely and in accordance with all Calumet procedures. Work with Project Engineers during project scope development and planning. Conduct contractor evaluations and provide input during contractor selection. Manage project ‘Kick-off’. Execute digging permits. Execute lift permits. Work with contractors throughout & rectify any construction issues. Work with Safety Personnel to maintain a safe work environment. Help to maintain the project schedule. Maintain environmental requirements. Work with all departments affected by the project construction. Maintain as-built drawings. Responsible for project reporting. Review productivity of each contractor per job. Review timesheets and invoicing. Required Education / Experiences Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred. Project Management skills and construction experience a plus. 5 years’ experience in a industrial facility is desired. A good working knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Project, & Bluebeam Revu. Candidates must have demonstrated commitment to personnel and process safety, environmental protection, and community relations. Detailed working with Process Safety Management (PSM) is highly desired. Working knowledge of API & ASME codes a plus. Computer proficiency required.
