Packaging Technician 1 (2nd Shift) - Mount Prospect, IL

[About the Role]
Join the Clinical Trials Division (CTD) and play a critical part in ensuring life-changing therapies reach patients in need. As a Packaging Technician 1, you will support pharmaceutical and biotech advancements by assembling, labeling, and packaging clinical supplies. Second shift hours (Mon-Thurs, 3pm-1:30am) offer a stable schedule and overtime opportunities.

[Responsibilities]

- Label, assemble, and package pharmaceutical products with precision and care
- Perform manual and automated filling of blistered and bottled products
- Accurately count, verify, and prepare packaging components before and after each job order
- Maintain strict adherence to quality and productivity standards
- Clean packaging rooms and machinery per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and cGMP guidelines
- Consistently apply Good Manufacturing Principles (GMP) to ensure safety and compliance
- Handle batch paperwork accurately to ensure proper clinical supply assembly
- Work independently or as part of a collaborative team to meet daily objectives

[Required Skills and Experience]

- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-5 years of relevant packaging or assembly experience in a regulated environment
- Proficient basic computer skills
- Strong hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and attention to detail
- Able to perform repetitive tasks and learn new assignments efficiently
- Physically fit for standing, lifting, bending, and working in cold environments (-8°C to -20°C)
- PPE certification (filtering face masks, PAPR, N-95, half face masks, safety glasses)
- Excellent vision (color, peripheral, focus adjustments)
- Willingness to work 40+ hours/week, including overtime as needed

- Experience in pharmaceutical packaging or clinical supply management
- Familiarity with cGMP and SOP compliance
- Accurate record-keeping and batch paperwork handling
