Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Acute Care

Occupational Therapist – Inpatient Rehabilitation

Schedule: Weekends: Yes – 1 weekend per month - Holiday expectation: must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of Occupational Therapy experience required
• Acute care Occupational Therapy experience preferred
• Compact state Occupational Therapy license required at time of submission
• Must provide 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of work within the last 3 years
• Required certifications: NBCOT, BLS
• Key clinical skills: ADL training, orthopedics/hip & knee rehab, splinting/orthoses, prosthetics basics, edema management, feeding techniques, neuro and cardiac rehab elements, use of modalities

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and assess patient needs to create individualized treatment plans
• Implement therapeutic interventions to improve patient functional abilities
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
• Educate patients and families on rehabilitation processes and therapeutic exercises
• Document patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary

Compliance / Notes:

• Must request any scheduling exceptions up-front during submission
• Background checks required
• No direct outreach to facility contacts unless coordinated by recruiter/account manager
• Pre-start modules and orientation modules required (non-billable)
