Basic Function

The basic function of the Shop Production Manager is to provide the necessary leadership to plan, organize, direct, coordinate, supervise, and control the daily operations of the Shop to meet the continuing growth, quality and, profit objectives of the Company.

Responsibilities

• Direct and lead the functions of shop construction and fabrication.
• Coordinates with departments to insure the project deadlines and inventory are met.
• Review job budgets with the management team to achieve company goals
• Ensure that all quality standards are met in order to meet Client expectations
• Review shop production schedules and labor requirements with Management upon each job.
• Obtain project budgets from the Estimator prior to production meetings.
• Assign shop personnel specific tasks per project as relates to their individual skills
• Complete projects in the allotted hours estimated, avoiding over time, without compromising quality standards.
• Attend weekly production meetings to discuss each project to ensure the compliance with the labor hours and material budgets.
• Recommend strategic and personnel changes as needed to advance the company in profits.
• Establish and maintain quality work standards while performing all aspects of employee management with the highest regards for employee safety.
• Assist and examine all company pre-employment weld test
