Project Manager / Sales Engineer, Mechanical and Plumbing Wixom, MICompensation: $130,000 to $150,000 per year, plus annual performance bonusThis hybrid role combines hands on technical project delivery with business development and revenue growth, serving as the primary point person responsible for planning, executing, and delivering mechanical and plumbing projects on time, within budget, and in accordance with specifications and quoted requirements. The position also drives new business, builds long term client relationships, and prepares accurate proposals for mechanical services projects (HVAC, piping, and plumbing) across industrial, commercial, and institutional markets.Schedule Full time position based in Wixom, MI, combining office, remote, client site, and active construction environments. Frequent travel to client sites, project locations, and industry events is required, up to 50%.Compensation $130,000 to $150,000 per year, plus an annual performance bonus.What You'll Do This role manages and oversees mechanical and plumbing projects of various sizes and complexity, analyzing project design proposals, quoted proposals, and specifications to determine cost effective solutions. The project manager leads a project team to ensure technical accuracy and professional quality of deliverables, manages project activities throughout the lifecycle including resource allocation, documentation, and scheduling, and maintains project schedules and cost summaries to track progress, budget status, and manpower utilization. The role includes site visits during construction for quality and cost control, escalating resource needs, assisting with shop drawing reviews, and mentoring technical staff and foremen.On the business development side, this role works to achieve quarterly revenue targets through upselling, cross selling, and new client acquisition, developing and executing a sales growth strategy aligned with company revenue and profitability goals. The position identifies and targets new markets and clients, maintains and grows current business relationships, and builds a sales pipeline with regular activity and conversion reporting. The role also acts as primary relationship manager for key accounts, conducts client business reviews, and represents the company at trade shows and industry events.The position prepares accurate, competitive estimates and proposals for mechanical scopes, partnering with the estimating team on pricing accuracy and profitability, and customizing proposals to highlight differentiators. This role also works closely with estimating, operations, and finance on project handoffs, provides sales forecasts and upward reporting to senior management, and tracks KPIs including revenue growth, pipeline health, win rates, customer retention, and project cost and schedule performance.Required Qualifications10+ years of industry related experience in mechanical services project delivery and/or sales (HVAC, piping, plumbing, or related), or a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related fieldExperience and understanding of HVAC, process piping, and plumbing systemsStrong understanding of project contractors, suppliers, and manufacturersMechanical and electrical coordination experienceDemonstrated success in project delivery, project management execution, and business developmentProficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office SuiteStrong negotiation, diplomatic, and conflict resolution skillsPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related fieldConstruction experienceExperience developing estimates and proposals for mechanical scopesCompensation and Benefits$130,000 to $150,000 per yearAnnual performance bonusCompany vehicle (take home)401(k) matchMedical, dental, and vision insurancePaid time offTo apply, submit your resume for consideration.
