Materials CoordinatorQISG is hiring a Materials Coordinator to support a $250M, 286MW power generation EPC project.Position Highlights:Long-term project assignment near Midland, TXInitial 2-month training period will be in Eagle Mountain, UTThis is a full-time, permanent QISG position with opportunities to transition to future projects after completionMust be willing to work on project siteTravel and lodging expenses covered by QISGThe Materials Coordinator at Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group (QISG) is responsible for the proper and timely coordination of materials management including receipt, inspection, put away and storage, kitting, and the safe distribution of project materials to support field construction activities.What You'll Do:Ensures all inventory is handled and stored safely, according to any requirements and engineering specificationsManages and executes receiving, count, and inspection of materials delivered to construction site/warehouse/lay-down yard; reconciles any discrepancies whether it be QA/QC, overage, shortage, damage, or otherManages and directs the placement and distribution of materials and equipment onto various trucks to ensure items are safely transported to/from construction sitesObtains and resolves material related questions and/or problems, directly coordinating between project managers, engineering staff, suppliers, fabricators, construction teams, project controls, or other management staffManages QA/QC receiving and issuing of material to ensure safe, timely, and accurate receipt and issue of materialsPlans, manages, and executes phase bundling, structure staging, and kitting to help streamline materials for constructionPerforms on-site material audits to ensure accuracy of inventoryMaintains all files, receipts, and records for lay-down yard inventory and operationsDirectly manages, controls, and performs data input for project materials within our inventory management system to provide real time and accurate inventory reportingDirects, coordinates, and supervises the off?loading and storage of materials as they are received or issued to constructionPerforms project closeout for materials, purchase orders, and other contract requirements, including obtaining proper disposition instruction of excess materialsActs as liaison between Project managers, customers, suppliers, and construction management to resolve any material related issuesManages receiving and issuing of all materials, equipment, tools and consumables to ensure effective, timely and accurate receipt and issue for construction.Ensures all inventory is handled and stored safely, according to any requirements and engineering specificationsMaintains a safe and orderly yard using proper housekeeping practicesAssists in the completion of project mobilization and/or demobilization effortPerforms any other duties assignedAdheres to internal standards, policies, and proceduresWhat You'll Bring:Required Experience and Education:High school diploma (or equivalent)3 years' experience managing materials for a warehouse or lay-down yard; with at least 1 year of experience with EPC projects within the electric power delivery sectorUnderstanding of receiving processes related to physical counts, inspections, inventory, storage, and issuance of materialProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteCertified Forklift Operator 8K– 55K telescoping lifts (Lull) and skid-steers to lift, move, or place equipment or materials;
