Maintenance Technician

Maintenance TechnicianPay rate: $20-$24/hr Maintenance handyman type person with mechanical skills and aptitude. A person with landscaping design and gardening skills would be a huge plus. Basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry and masonry is expected.Responsibilities:Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standardsPerform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.)Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessaryMaintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionalityInspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when neededPerform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.)Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticideConduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.)Assist in budget preparation and ensure it is followedRequirements:Proven experience as maintenance technicianBasic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systemsKnowledge of general maintenance processes and methodsWorking knowledge of tools, common appliances and devicesManual dexterity and problem-solving skillsGood physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtimeHigh school diploma or equivalent; Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plusCertified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) is desiredExperience: 0-3 years
