Urology Interview Day - RN Charge Nurse & LPN

Charge Nurse Responsibilities Reports to the Clinical Staff Manager, plans, directs, and evaluates the overall nursing care and functions in a particular unit or during an assigned shift. Coordinates the activities of the unit and directs, organizes, and assigns work to the nursing staff. Assesses, monitors, and educates the nursing staff on patient care. Delegates, coordinates, and readjusts patient assignments. Works to enhance throughput, quality, and customer service in the area, consistent with the direction from the Clinical Staff Manager. Institutes emergency procedures as necessary. Charge Nurse Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent education and experience (preferred). Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia. Four (4) or more years of direct patient‑care RN experience, including a charge role, if RN with an Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ASN). Two (2) or more years of direct patient‑care RN experience, including a charge role, if RN with a BSN (preferred). American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider Card. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required. Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Responsibilities Provides age‑appropriate, culturally and ethnically sensitive care, maintaining a safe environment. Educates patients and families, collects information, communicates effectively, and utilizes technology. Participates in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of health‑care service delivery and tasks. Engages in patient advocacy, teaching, performance improvement, and supervision of unlicensed personnel. Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Qualifications Graduate from an accredited school of nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Current Georgia license as a Practical Nurse. Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider Card required.
