Career Area: Job Description: Job Summary Assist in the development, management and administration of insurance or Aftermarket Solution programs for a designated market segment. Incumbents will be responsible for more complex phases of administration. Principal Job Duties and Responsibilities Develop proposals, coverage reviews and inquiries; process changes, cancellations and billings; respond to customer inquiries and placement coverage for CFAS, CISC or related insurance entities. Quote coverage to the business unit’s customers. Maintain underwriting, marketing, contract or policy files and train customers in reporting and agency functions as required; assemble submissions, proposals and marketing materials. Issue new and renewal contracts, policies or change endorsements; provide customers with changes and cancellations per request; review policies and negotiate wording with carriers. Handle credit card information if selected and trained to accept payment for contracts or endorsements. Coordinate and monitor servicing activities of business unit customers. Participate in continuous improvement objectives; maintain measurements, analyze data, identify problems and develop resolutions. Appreciate and apply the company’s Harassment policy. Adhere to the Compliance Policy for Caterpillar Insurance Company and affiliates. Know Aftermarket or Insurance products, policies, and procedures. Apply statistical analysis skills to measure, analyze and improve service quality. Sit and type on computer screen for long periods. Use computer‑based software to produce documents, reports, spreadsheets. Effective oral, written, and listening communication skills. Know Caterpillar Business Units, products, applications, markets, and dealer organizations. Link communication between internal and external customers and staff. Enforce high‑quality standards driven by company objectives. Ensure proper aftermarket solutions or insurance policies and procedures are followed. Develop and administer activities of internal/external resources for cost‑effective program. Participate actively as part of a cross‑functional team. Manage multiple priorities effectively. Produce work quickly and accurately; generate reports when requested. Evaluate risk situations and operate within authority levels. Analyze exposures and decide on coverage acceptance and quoting. Manage a customer’s program with minimal supervision. Education/Experience A 4‑year college or university degree and a minimum of 2 years exempt experience in property and casualty insurance or risk mitigation is recommended for an insurance role, or a minimum of 2 years exempt experience in program enrollment, creation and communication of processes and implementation of process improvements is recommended for an aftermarket solutions role. If assigned to Insurance, must be licensed as a Property & Casualty insurance agent in Tennessee within 1 year of placement. Previous work experience must be progressively increasing in responsibility and accountability. Equivalent experience may be substituted for education. This position requires incumbents to be onsite in the Nashville main office 5 days per week.
