Kindergarten Lead Teacher - Beijing

Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Kindergarten Lead Teacher to join our team. As the Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for the holistic management of the classroom, including lesson delivery, class management, child safety/wellness, and parent communication(if needed). You will lead a team of assistant teachers and life teachers to create a nurturing, stimulating, and safe learning environment aligned with our educational philosophy.

Key Responsibilities
1. Curriculum & Instruction
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans based on the 3-6 year-old Child Development and Learning Guide and the school's curriculum framework
Deliver engaging activities based on the lesson plans.
Design and update classroom environments, learning centers,etc.
Observe, document, and assess children's progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.

2. Montessori Collaboration (NEW)
Collaborate closely with the Co-lead Teacher to jointly plan, prepare, and implement Montessori-based work and activities. 
Maintain the integrity of the Montessori environment (e.g., preparing materials, modeling correct usage, observing child-led work cycles) in partnership with the Co-lead Teacher. *

3. Classroom Management & Safety
Manage the complete daily routine, including arrival, morning checks, meals, naps, outdoor play, and dismissal.
Establish clear, consistent, and warm classroom rules to build a positive and respectful social culture.
Enforce strict health and safety protocols; conduct daily safety checks of the classroom and equipment.
Ensure the physical and emotional safety of every child at all times, providing basic first aid when necessary.

4. Team Leadership & Collaboration
Lead a team to delegate tasks and ensuring smooth daily operations.
Mentor and guide junior staff members, fostering a collaborative and supportive team atmosphere.
Actively participate in staff meetings, professional development workshops, and school-wide events.

5. Family Engagement
Build strong relationships with families through daily communication (apps/notebooks), parent-teacher conferences, and written reports.
Host or assist in organizing parent-child activities, open houses, and holiday performances.
Provide parents with guidance on early childhood development and ways to support learning at home.

Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Preschool Education, or a related field (Bachelor's preferred for Lead roles).

Certifications (Mandatory):
TEFL/TESOL/DELTA;
AMS 3-6 preferred

Experience:
Minimum 1–3 years of experience as a Lead Teacher in a kindergarten setting.
Familiarity with Montessori philosophy and materials is highly preferred. *

Skills & Competencies:
Strong lesson planning and classroom management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (both with children and adults).
