What This Role Really Is This is not a “show up and install” position. Make decisions on-site without waiting around Solve problems and take ownership of outcomes Program and commission systems that feel intuitive and polished Deliver results that reflect a luxury standard Be the last step before the client experience—and that matters here What You’ll Be Doing Lead installation and commissioning of advanced AV and automation systems Program systems (Savant Systems experience preferred) Integrate and troubleshoot audio & video systems Integrate and troubleshoot lighting control (Savant, Lutron Electronics) Integrate and troubleshoot networking & Wi‑Fi Integrate and troubleshoot surveillance & access control Integrate and troubleshoot motorized shades Test, calibrate, and refine systems for performance and usability Read plans, wiring diagrams, and documentation Collaborate with project managers, designers, and clients Deliver polished client walkthroughs Maintain clean racks, wiring, and installation standards Contribute to improving systems and workflows What You Bring 3–7+ years in AV installation or automation Strong programming and commissioning experience Savant experience preferred (trainable for the right person) Solid understanding of AV systems and signal flow Experience with lighting control systems Working knowledge of networking (IP, routers, Wi‑Fi) Strong troubleshooting mindset—you figure things out Ability to work independently and take ownership Close attention to detail and pride in your work Strong communication skills Valid driver’s license Nice to Have Luxury residential experience Familiarity with brands like Savant, AVA, Sonance, Focal, Screen Innovations Certifications (CEDIA, networking, etc.) Rack building, documentation, and calibration experience Interest in lighting design What Success Looks Like Systems work flawlessly and feel simple to the client Racks are clean, labeled, and organized without being asked You solve issues before they become problems Clients trust you and feel confident in the system The team relies on you without constant oversight You own projects from start to finish You improve efficiency—for yourself and the team How We Work Quality over speed Details matter Team‑first mindset—no egos Ownership and accountability are expected Close collaboration with builders, designers, and architects Focus on long‑term relationships and exceptional work Why This Role Is Different High‑end, design‑driven projects—not cookie‑cutter installs A company growing with intention Real input on how projects are executed Opportunity to grow into leadership or design roles Work with premium systems and evolving technology Final Thought If you: Fix things without being asked Care about the final result Want to grow and be part of something better #J-18808-Ljbffr WH Technologies
