Senior Software Engineer – Financial Crimes Defender R&D We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Financial Crimes Defender R&D team, focused on building cloud‑native, containerized microservices and web applications that support critical fraud detection systems. Location: Remote within a 70‑mile radius of any Jack Henry office (Allen, TX; Birmingham, AL; Cedar Falls, IA; Charlotte, NC; Lenexa, KS; Monett, MO; Springfield, MO; or Louisville, KY). All positions may require an onsite interview or in‑person onboarding. The role requires travel of up to 5% for meetings or training. What you’ll be responsible for: Lead system analysis, programming activities, and research to deliver high‑quality software into production. Support new and existing applications from code delivery to retirement, including unit and integration tests. Develop, test, and review applications based on business requirements and industry best practices. Create and modify code using best practices and standard guidance, considering impacts on end users and internal teams. Collaborate with QA to ensure timely delivery of high‑quality products. Participate in (and sometimes lead) cross‑functional meetings and discussions. Write required technical documentation and stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends. Debug and troubleshoot issues, providing timely resolutions. Contribute to product architecture and other assigned duties as required. What you’ll need to have: Minimum 6 years of .Net / C# software development experience. Demonstrated experience with user interface technologies (TypeScript, Angular, ReactJS). Experience building RESTful APIs. Experience with database technologies (SQL Server, Postgres, Spanner). Experience with Azure or GCP. Experience in Agile or Scrum environments. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. What would be nice for you to have: Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science. Experience building cloud‑native APIs.
