CVOR Surgical | | Richmond, VA PositionSchedule

• Regular Hours: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
• Call Required
  • Weekday call begins at 3:00 PM
  • Weekend call: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (rotating)

Required Certification

• ✔️ BLS

Must-Have Experience

Candidates must be proficient in scrubbing complex cardiovascular surgical procedures , including:

• CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting)
• Valve repair and replacement
• Repair of aortic dissections
• Cardiopulmonary bypass cases
• Thoracic surgery
• Open thoracotomy
• VATS (Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery)
• ECMO initiation
• Pericardial window procedures

Advanced Skills Preferred

• Strong CVOR scrubbing experience
• Excellent sterile technique
• Familiarity with cardiac instrumentation
• Ability to anticipate surgeon needs during complex cardiac procedures
• Comfortable taking call

• Thoracic Surgery
• Da Vinci-assisted Lobectomy
• Wedge Resection
• Mediastinal Lymph Node Biopsy

Call Requirements

• Weekday call after scheduled shift
• Rotating weekend call (Friday–Sunday)
• Must be available for emergency cardiovascular surgeries

Dress Code

• Hospital-provided scrubs
