The Personal Touch Physical Therapy Group is seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic outpatient clinic in Santa Clara, California. In this full-time role, you will play an essential part in assisting patients to regain movement and rehabilitate from orthopedic injuries. Work Environment

This position is onsite within a fully operational hospital setting in Santa Clara, California. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, with preferred hours of 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM or an earlier start from 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM. This structured schedule promotes a work-life balance while allowing you to engage with patients and contribute to their recovery throughout the week.

Key Responsibilities

• Guide patients through prescribed therapy exercises, adjusting techniques as needed based on individual progress and responses to treatment.
• Assist in the delivery of hands-on therapy techniques, including manual therapy and functional training, utilizing a variety of rehabilitation equipment.
• Educate patients and their caregivers on treatment plans, demonstrating at-home exercises to enhance recovery outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as WebPT, ensuring compliance with health regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with physical therapists to assess patient progress and modify therapy plans when necessary, ensuring optimal care delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily serve patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders. Our patient demographic includes adults of varying ages and activity levels, each with unique therapeutic needs. Your expertise and compassionate approach will be critical in helping these individuals achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree from a CAPTE accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Valid Physical Therapist Assistant license issued in California.
• Two or more years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting, demonstrating a strong understanding of orthopedic rehabilitation processes.
• Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, to track patient information and treatment progress.
• A solid foundation in manual therapy techniques, enabling effective hands-on treatment of various orthopedic conditions.

Preferred Experience

Experience working with a diverse patient population, particularly in outpatient orthopedic settings, is highly desirable. Additional certifications in specialized therapeutic techniques or advanced manual therapy can set you apart as a strong candidate for this position.

Compensation and Benefits
