Cashier / Barista - Pop's Bagels Nolita - New York
Cashier, Barista, & Prep Chef
This is a hands-on role designed to support and elevate our team, helping bring consistency, structure, and leadership to a busy, people-driven environment. You'll work closely with Owner Stephen, (Pop and Kelly), and help ensure that their vision is executed smoothly on the floor every day.

What You Do
- Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages such as coffee, tea, pastries, and specialty drinks following established recipes and health standards.
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold sandwiches, following established recipes and health standards.
- Operate Square POS (Point of Sale) system as well as cash register.
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders, answering questions about menu items, and providing excellent customer service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, including proper food handling and beverage preparation practices.
- Follow food safety guidelines and health regulations to ensure a safe environment for both staff and guests.
Experience and Requirements
- Food Protection Certification required!
- Previous barista experience or food service background required
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to connect with diverse guests.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing.
- Good time management skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, busy environment.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper cleaning procedures within a food service setting.
- Fluent Spanish is a plus!
Schedule & Compensation
- Store hours: 7:30 AM 2:00 PM
- Weekday availability required (Mon-Fri), Weekend availability also preferred but not required
- Salary dependent on experience and qualifications
