Claims Managers

Responsibilities Conduct organizational studies and evaluations, design systems and procedures, conduct work simplification and measurement studies, and prepare operations and procedures manuals to assist management in operating more efficiently and effectively. Review claims from FNOL to close, including initial call, the coordination with breach counsel, forensic investigators and other vendors. Evaluate full pending of claims in affiliation with posting and recommending accurate reserves. Assess litigation and third-party liability claims arising from security failures or data breaches, and claims involving media, privacy, and tech E&O liability. This will include full evaluation of liability, recommendation of actions to litigation counsel and carrier partners, reserving recommendation and reasoning, and alternative dispute resolution. Assess liability and damage data in complex claims while maintaining appropriate documentation for compliance purposes. Identify and evaluate insurance coverage issues (third and first party) guide, review and track third-party vendors and service providers. Maintain and develop relationships with brokers and various positions within an insured's business including risk managers, general counsel, and a variety of vendors. Identify settlement opportunities to maximize impact. Collaborate in the defense and resolution of claims. Provide data and reason-based informational assistance to underwriters. Provide assistance to business development partners with regard to marketing, including providing educational opportunities internally and externally. Conduct intake of new cyber breach claims as part of Coalition's breach hotline, including guiding insureds and brokers through next steps during high-stress situations. Liaise with partner carriers on a daily basis. Telecommuting permitted. Job Requirements Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Business, Finance or in a related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. For an unrelated field of study, employer will accept one additional year of work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Special Requirements Insurance Industry Products and Services related to Cyber, Crime, 3rd Party Liability, and Executive Risk; Technical knowledge regarding ransomware, cyber extortion, and all aspects of high severity cyber incident response; Litigation experience handling complex matters scheduled for trial involving Media liability, Privacy liability, Directors & Officers / Executive Risk Liability, and Technology Errors & Omissions Liability; Proficient in the use and design of insurance industry compliant claims software platforms; Proficient in drafting coverage letters and other professional claims correspondence; Proficient in reserving methodology for high severity insurance claims.
