Allied Technician - Pharmacy Tech

Pharmacy TechnicianWe are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. In this role, you will perform a variety of packaging, manipulative, repetitive, and nondiscretionary tasks related to the dispensing of medications, all while assisting under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.Job SummaryYour primary responsibilities will include filling and delivering unit dose cassettes from patient profiles to nursing units and ensuring the efficient management of medications within the organization.Job RequirementsHigh School Education/GED or equivalent: PreferredAssociate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: PreferredLicenses/Certifications:State Pharmacy Technician license: Required in CAPharmaceutical Technician Board certification: Preferred in CA and OREssential FunctionsAccurately pull medications from stock and match them with corresponding labels generated by the pharmacist.Maintain floor stock by restocking, removing expired medications, and rotating stock in nursing and other medication areas.Price and stock incoming deliveries.Prepare IV medication products in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.Check in orders from wholesalers and suppliers.Distribute stock appropriately and file related paperwork; process returns and backorders in a timely manner.Perform other job-related duties as assigned.Organizational RequirementsThis position requires all associates to receive all mandated vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable.
