Auto Shop MechanicQualifications:Journey status with 5+ years of experience in the maintenance and repair of mining equipment, heavy duty diesel, and medium fleet automotiveExperience in welding and fabricationExperience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, electrical systems, chassis, and powertrain systemsKnowledge of industrial and shop safety rules, procedures, and equipmentAbility to safely operate vehicles and equipment to test and troubleshoot for proper operation before and after maintenanceComputer experience entering data for preparing work order and purchasing partsAbility to have reliable attendanceAbility to work in a team environment and independentlyPossess own Journeyman level hand tools necessary to perform the functions of the job.Successfully pass pre-employment physical and drug screenPosition is subject to random drug and alcohol testingResponsibilities:Diagnose and repair all types of gas and diesel equipment, including, but not limited to, excavators, dozers, off-road trucks, wheel loaders, water & lube trucks, service trucks, pickups, dump trucks/trailers, and other support equipment.Troubleshoot, repair, and replace ignition systems, fuel systems, hydraulic systems, lighting systems, electrical/computer control systems, radio systems, and ABS brake systemRepair and overhaul engines, transmissions, differentials, PTO's and axle assembliesPerform welding and fabrication on mobile and stationary plant equipment as neededMaintain service, maintenance, and repair recordsRepair and maintain shop tools and machineryPrepare work orders and order parts in SAP business systemProvide technical assistance, direction, and guidance to other shop employees. Assist in the training of other shop employees to perform tasks efficiently and effectively.Make emergency field repairs to all plant mobile equipment as neededSafely perform repairs in the field during inclement weather
