Senior Application Support Engineer

We are working with a healthcare technology organization seeking a Senior Application Support Engineer to support and maintain critical production systems that power healthcare operations and payer integrations. This position will play a key part in ensuring the stability and reliability of enterprise applications in a complex production environment. The engineer will investigate and resolve technical issues, lead root cause analysis efforts, and collaborate with engineering and platform teams to continuously improve system performance and operational processes. The ideal candidate has strong experience supporting Microsoft-based enterprise applications, a solid understanding of healthcare data workflows and EDI transactions, and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues across application, data, and integration layers. Key Responsibilities Act as the senior escalation point for complex production incidents Investigate and resolve issues across applications, integrations, and data layers Support systems built with C#/.NET, React, SQL Server/Azure SQL, IIS, and Azure services Perform advanced SQL troubleshooting, data validation, and corrections Support EDI transactions and integrations with payers, clearinghouses, and partners Lead root cause analysis and collaborate with engineering teams on permanent fixes Monitor production systems and help improve alerting, logging, and observabilityMaintain documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures Mentor junior support engineers and assist with support process improvements Ensure compliance with HIPAA and healthcare data handling standards Participate in on-call support for critical production systems Required Qualifications U.S. citizenship required due to production system access 5–8+ years of experience supporting enterprise production systems or application operations in a healthcare environment Strong experience supporting applications built with the Microsoft technology stack; C# / .NET, SQL Server, IIS, Azure services Experience troubleshooting modern web applications (React or similar frameworks) Advanced SQL skills for data investigation and troubleshooting Experience supporting EDI transactions such as 278, 837, 835, or related healthcare data exchanges Familiarity with healthcare compliance standards including HIPAA and PHI handling Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities in complex production environments Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate incident response activities Preferred Experience Experience supporting cloud-based healthcare platforms at scale Familiarity with IT service management tools such as ServiceNow, FreshService, or similar platforms Background working with revenue cycle, home health, or clinical systems Experience participating in major incident response environments #J-18808-Ljbffr CornerStone Technology Talent Services
