Outpatient MAT Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) Position: LPN Dispensing Nurse – PRN Hours (As Needed) Hours: Monday - Friday, 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM; Occasional Saturdays, 6:00 AM – 8:00 AM. Your Job as Dispensing Nurse The LPN will support patients' treatment and recovery from opioid use disorder by dispensing medication under the direction of the Medical Director or Physician. Responsibilities include thorough, accurate reporting and documentation of patients’ symptoms, responses, and progress. Your Responsibilities Work under the supervision of the Medical Director and Clinic Director Maintain nursing professional standards of care Prepare and administer medication accurately and timely as ordered Accurately record medication administration and maintain records Maintain accounting of all medication received and dispensed Safeguard medication stock and required DEA, FDA, ADP records Dedicate minimum 90% of scheduled hours to medication administration; remaining 10% for other duties as assigned Collect and process urine specimens, read test results as ordered, and complete associated forms Education, Skills, and Qualifications Graduated from an accredited nursing school Prefer 1 year of experience in behavioral health, outpatient treatment program, or addiction recovery field No history of alcohol or drug misuse for three years prior to employment Ideal Experience Previous nursing experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health settings preferred but not required Familiarity with Medication‑Assisted Treatment (MAT) and safe handling of methadone, buprenorphine, and naltrexone Experience in medication dispensing, monitoring dosing, and observing for adverse reactions or interactions Understanding of nursing best practices in substance use treatment, trauma‑informed care, and harm reduction principles Accurate and timely documentation (MARs, vitals, incident reports) per state and federal guidelines Knowledge of regulatory compliance (DEA, 42 CFR Part 2, HIPAA, Joint Commission) for controlled substances Ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team (physicians, counselors, case managers, support staff) Licenses/Certifications Current LPN license in North Carolina or compact license We are committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all applicants for employment regardless of an individual’s characteristics protected by applicable state, federal, and local laws. #J-18808-Ljbffr
