You will engage your team, answer questions, use our ERP system, handle material, complete tasks designated by the Shift Supervisor, and step in as a CNC Operator as needed.HOW YOU WILL DO ITMaintain a safe work environment by overseeing employees to make certain MIOSHA safety rules and regulations are followedServe as the first line of defense to prevent shutdowns and loss of productionExecute the scheduled production planTransport material and goods from receiving, storage, or production areas to various processing, shipping, and storage locationsActively manage the team to make certain production objectives are metTrain employees on the job, as needed, on procedures including blueprint reading, job order interpretation, and general product inspectionsEnsure all ISO quality forms for each production procedure are completed correctly and on timeOrganize storage and processing areas to make the most efficient use of space and handling requirements that meet 5S standardsMaintain inventory control of work-in-progress and stored materialDevelop and recommend changes to improve the efficiency, quality, and performance of the manufacturing process within the defined cellOperate as a CNC Operator as neededHandle high-stress situations and interact in person with peers and managementMaintain regular and predictable attendanceExhibit behaviors that reflect the company core values: Integrity, Empowerment, Sustainability, and CompassionPerform other related duties as assignedWHAT WE NEED FROM YOUBasic requirements:All Assistant Team Leaders must complete a 30/60/90 performance-based review; this plan includes recurring monthly discussions to ensure the role is the right fit for you and the CompanyConsistent pattern of reliable attendance: 1 occurrence as outlined in the Company’s attendance policyMinimum of 3–6 months of related supervisory experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experiencePrevious knowledge of a manufacturing environmentKnowledge of Microsoft Office, internet software, inventory software, and VISUALAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsAbility to write routine reports and correspondenceAbility to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formAbility to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employeesAbility to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situationsAbility to meet strict deadlines set by the production schedulePhysical requirements:Routinely stand and walk; use hands to handle and feel; reach with arms and hands; and climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawlRoutinely perform repetitive movements such as bending, twisting, reaching, lifting, and pullingRoutinely lift and/or move up to 25 lbs and occasionally more than 50 lbsWear all necessary safety equipmentVisual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts producedRoutinely work in a noisy (company-provided hearing protection required), non-temperature-controlled environmentWork in an environment where lock-out/tag-out is a standard safety practiceRoutinely work around gas-powered and other forklifts and machineryAble to perform each essential function, with or without reasonable accommodationWHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM USPay: $20–$22/hr; additional bonuses and overtime available (non-exempt, overtime eligible)Schedule: 2nd shift, Monday–Thursday, 3 PM–2:00 AM; overtime as requiredWeekly pay16 days of PTO in your first year401(k) with match starting Day 1Medical, dental, and vision coverage effective the 1st of the month after hireHSA with company contribution of up to $1,500, FSA, and wellness premium discountCompany-paid life insurance, short- and long-term disability, parental leave, and tuition reimbursementPet insurance, healthcare concierge, and EAPThis job description describes the general nature and level of work expected.
