Associate Art Director

We're looking for an Associate Art Director to help shape how Slingshot looks and feels across every touchpoint, from our product and marketing site to the campaigns, events, and partner materials that introduce creatives to what we do. You'll work closely with our brand and marketing team to bring visual ideas to life, translating strategy into design that's sharp, considered, and unmistakably ours. This is a hands-on role: you'll be designing as much as you're directing, and you'll have real ownership over how the brand shows up as we grow. What you'll do Brand & visual design Design marketing materials across digital and print - campaigns, social content, decks, and physical assets Maintain and evolve Slingshot's visual identity, acting as a guardian of brand consistency across every channel Art direct photography, illustration, and video for campaigns, events, and brand content Design collateral for partnerships and sponsorships, including event activations and co-branded materials Creative direction & collaboration Partner with marketing, product, and leadership to translate strategy and messaging into compelling visual concepts Provide creative direction to freelancers, photographers, and outside vendors as needed Present concepts and rationale clearly to stakeholders, and iterate based on feedback Help build and document brand guidelines as the visual system matures Project management Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, balancing quality with tight timelines Scope creative requests, set realistic timelines, and keep projects on track from concept to final delivery What we offer Competitive salary with world-class benefits and equity The chance to shape a growing brand from the ground up Direct impact on how creators and the companies that hire them experience Slingshot A collaborative, fast-moving team that values craft Benefits Equity grant with 4-year vesting, no cliff Platinum PPO health insurance with 100% employer premium contribution Dental and vision coverage 401(k) with 4% employer match $250/month wellness stipend Unlimited PTO Requirements 2-5+ years of professional design experience, with a portfolio that shows strong craft across brand, digital, and campaign work Expert in Figma and Adobe software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) Strong typography, layout, and visual storytelling skills Knowledge of design and brand trends Comfortable managing several projects at once in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Clear communicator who can articulate creative rationale to non-designers and stakeholders Based in or able to work hybrid out of Los Angeles or New York Nice to have Experience art directing photo and video shoots Experience designing for events, sponsorships, or experiential activations Experience working with music artists and/or creatorsIllustration skills Bachelor's degree in Design, Graphic Design, Advertising, or a related field (or equivalent experience) About Slingshot Slingshot provides shared business infrastructure for artists, creators, creative freelancers, and creative companies.
