Field Service Technician - Fishkill, NY

Job Location: Fishkill, NY Position Type: Full Time Education Level: High School Salary Range: $36.05 - $45.15 Hourly Travel Percentage: Road Warrior Job Shift: Any Job Category: Manufacturing Field Service Technician – Lifecycle Services What You’ll Be Doing: Conduct field service calls at customer sites to provide installation, commissioning, emergency repair, preventive maintenance, audits, retrofits, and training services Perform mechanical and electrical modifications including PLC programs and servo drive configuration Conduct site visit meetings with customer contacts to explain job scope, discuss work completed and provide training to customer’s personnel Achieve service delivery goals including response time, first‑time fix, and customer satisfaction rates Communicate effectively with field service management and internal service support team to resolve customer issues efficiently Provide equipment reliability feedback to quality engineering and collaborate on improvements Comply with industry, company, and customer safe working practices Complete paperwork, timesheets, CRM entries, and expenses promptly and accurately Periodically perform technical support or final assurance duties at Lifecycle Services headquarters What We’re Looking For: AAS or BS in Mechatronics, EE, EET, EECS, or Industrial Electronics is desired At least 3 years of experience with solid knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic components, and HMI At least 3 years diagnosing, troubleshooting, emergency service, and repairing electronics and mechanical machine problems in the field Experience with AB CompactLogix PLC and RSLogix500/5000 programming, including minor modifications and network troubleshooting Ability to interpret complex technical information involving mechanics and electronics, including schematics Experience configuring Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) and Servo drives and motors Valid driver’s license and ability to qualify for a US passport Typical Physical Demands Regularly required to stand for a minimum of 8 hours per day. Frequently required to grasp, handle, and feel objects, control, and manage tools, and use hands and arms. Occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch, and lift or move up to 75 pounds. Requires close, peripheral, and depth vision, as well as the ability to adjust focus. Work Environment Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts. Noise level usually moderate but can be loud at times. Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles.
