Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

$1958.40/week –

Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery RN will provide specialized obstetric care to women during childbirth, ensuring maternal and fetal well-being. This role involves working night shifts with weekend rotations in a fast-paced acute care hospital setting.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor laboring patients, including fetal heart monitoring and vital signs.

• Administer medications, including labor analgesics and oxytocics, following clinical protocols.

• Assist in delivery procedures, ensuring aseptic techniques and safety standards are maintained.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.

• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic charting system.

• Educate patients and families on labor progress, postpartum care, and newborn care.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license for South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact license.

• Minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery nursing experience.

• BLS, ACLS, and AWHONN certifications required; advanced certifications preferred.

• Experience with Epic electronic health record and fetal monitoring system.

• Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs.

• Strong clinical skills in couplet care or transition nursery preferred.
