A successful background check is required. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Needed Patience, flexibility, love for children, confidentiality, teamwork, self-starter, takes direction easily, excellent communication skills, behavior management skills, assist in the classroom and in special education classroom. Specific Tasks Work with students throughout the day assisting with behavior and academics. Refocus the student in the classroom, de‑escalate negative behavior, recognize and acknowledge positive behavior, and work cooperatively with the classroom teacher and Special Education staff.
