MRI TechnologistMRI Technologist provides high-quality magnetic resonance imaging examinations to support accurate diagnoses and patient care. The role operates advanced MRI equipment, ensures patient safety, and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team in a clinical setting.Key Responsibilities:Perform high-quality MRI examinations following physician orders and imaging protocols.Prepare and educate patients about MRI procedures, addressing questions and concerns.Screen patients for MRI safety and contraindications, including implants and medical devices.Position patients to obtain optimal diagnostic images.Operate MRI equipment safely and efficiently, maintaining image quality standards.Monitor patients throughout imaging procedures to ensure comfort and safety.Recognize and respond to emergency situations promptly.Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation in the electronic medical record.Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.Ensure compliance with MRI safety guidelines, infection prevention protocols, and departmental policies.Perform routine equipment quality assurance checks and report maintenance concerns.Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care during every patient interaction.Qualifications:Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology programCurrent ARRT certification requiredCurrent Kansas Radiologic Technologist licensure or eligibility for licensureCurrent BLS (Basic Life Support) certificationStrong knowledge of MRI safety standards and imaging protocolsExcellent communication, organizational, and critical thinking skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare teamPreferred Skills:ARRT (MR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain if applicablePrevious MRI experience preferredExperience operating MRI equipment in a hospital or outpatient settingFamiliarity with PACS and electronic medical record systemsStrong attention to detail and commitment to diagnostic image qualityExcellent patient care and customer service skillsAbility to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environmentCommitment to maintaining high standards of patient safety and quality care
