Bullis School seeks an energetic, organized, and technologically capable individual to serve as the Executive Assistant to the Head of the School. The Executive Assistant to the Head of School provides confidential, consistent, and professional support to the Head of School, the Board of Directors, the Board’s subcommittees, and the Human Resources department. We offer competitive salaries and generous benefits that make it an ideal place to build a thriving career.Essential FunctionsHead of School OfficeServe as liaison between the Head of School’s office and all school constituents, including staff, parents, students, and outside visitors, at times under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentialitySupport the Head of School and the Senior Leadership Team with the daily operation of the school, short- and long-term goals, and institutional projectsPerform clerical and administrative tasks for the Head of School’s office, compiling and conducting research and preparing reports and communications for the Head of SchoolSchedule, maintain, and confirm the Head of School’s appointments and calendarAssist the Head of School with work and events related to the Board of Trustees, faculty and staff, parents, and donors, among othersIn coordination with the Office of Institutional Advancement, manage arrangements for faculty meetings and employee eventsScreen and direct phone calls for the Head of SchoolMonitor and direct special projects as assigned by Head of SchoolOther duties as assigned by Head of SchoolBoard of TrusteesServe as liaison to the Board of TrusteesPrepare and communicate schedules for Board of Trustees and Subcommittee meetingsMake meeting arrangements for Board meetingsMaintain rosters, files, and committee minutes for the Board and subcommitteesUpdate the Board of Trustees handbook annuallyMaintain the Board section of the website in consultation with the webmasterOther projects as requestedHuman Resources SupportAssist the Human Resources office with the posting of open positions across job boards, the school website, and other applicable platforms, ensuring accuracy and timely publication of all listingsCoordinate candidate visits and interview schedulesProvide general clerical and administrative support to the Human Resources department, including filing, data entry, maintaining employee records, employment verifications, and responding to routine HR-related phone calls, email, and visitor inquiriesAssist with the coordination of HR-related events, trainings, and meetings, including scheduling and preparing materialsOther HR support duties as assignedRequired Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or related field, or the equivalent education and experiencePrior experience as a personal assistant, executive assistant, or similar roleCommitment to using professional role to further the creation of an equitable and inclusive school communityExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesAbility to function well in a high-paced, and, at times, stressful environmentExtensive knowledge of office administration, clerical procedures, and recordkeeping systemsExtremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, or similar software, with the ability to learn new or updated softwareAbility to act with integrity, professionalism, and maintain confidentialityPrevious experience working at an independent school or an educational setting is preferredCompensation and benefits are competitive, with an anticipated salary range of $75,000 to $85,000.Benefits include:Medical, dental, and vision insuranceEmployer-provided basic life insuranceEmployer-provided short-term and long-term disability401(k) employer match and safe harbor contribution, up to 7% of annual compensationPaid leave #J-18808-Ljbffr Bullis School
