The Medical Assistant will support clinical operations in a specialty clinic by triaging patients and ensuring smooth patient flow. This role involves direct patient interactions, including taking vital signs and communicating effectively to enhance patient care for a medium patient volume of 15-30 daily.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient triage to determine urgency and care needs
- Measure and record vital signs accurately
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients
- Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks as needed
- Maintain patient records and ensure data accuracy
Required Qualifications
- Certificate or Diploma in Medical Assisting
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in medical assisting
- Proficiency in patient triage within a clinical setting
- Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
