Access Control Service Technician

We are partnering with a well-established provider of commercial security, access control, and life safety solutions to hire an Access Control Service Technician. This company supports customers across healthcare, education, commercial, and other mission-critical environments with integrated security and communications systems.

This is a field-based service role focused on troubleshooting, servicing, programming, and supporting commercial access control, CCTV, and intrusion systems. The ideal candidate is hands-on, technically strong, customer-focused, and comfortable working independently in fast-paced environments.

What You'll Do

Troubleshoot and service commercial access control, CCTV, and intrusion systems
Provide onsite and remote support to customers
Diagnose issues and complete repairs in the field
Assist with system upgrades, programming, and alarm takeovers
Train customers and end users on system functionality
Support installation teams when needed
Maintain service documentation and communicate updates to internal teams
Manage inventory and tools within company vehicle
Stay current on evolving technologies and security platforms

What They're Looking For

3+ years of experience with commercial security systems
Strong experience with access control, CCTV, and burglar alarm systems
Experience installing, programming, and troubleshooting integrated systems
Ability to read architectural, electrical, and mechanical drawings
Understanding of electrical, security, and life safety codes
Comfortable working independently in the field and communicating directly with customers

Additional Requirements

Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Ability to pass drug screening and background requirements
Ability to work on ladders, lifts, and in varying environments
Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation
Occasional overnight travel to regional job sites
