Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse in Spokane, Washington. This position involves providing care to high-risk and low-risk ante-partum and intra-partum pregnant women, as well as immediate postpartum and stabilization of normal newborns. The role requires collaboration with a specialized team and adherence to established guidelines, supporting a busy perinatal unit within a Level 3 Trauma Center.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Licensure in BLS, NRP, and EFM; minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery; proficiency with IUPC, FSE, IV starts, circulating C-sections; skills in IV/vascular access, Fetal Monitoring Systems (GE/Centricity, Phillips EFM), and familiarity with hospital technology such as EPIC EMR, Baxter IV pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensing.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with NICU post-partum and Level 2 newborn care.
• Support on the Unit: No CNAs; RN charge nurse available 24/7; resource nurse not available; RT with NICU experience; Hospitalist coverage present; telemetry monitoring includes centralized EFM, tele-EFM, and cardiac telemetry.
• Additional Information: Orientation typically 2-3 shifts based on individual competency; weekend rotation every other week; on-call only if scheduled shift is canceled due to low census; holiday work may be required; scrubs provided in dark blue; free parking available in designated areas.
