Job Title: General Laborer / Entry-Level Installer

Job Description

This entry-level field installation role offers an excellent opportunity to start a career in commercial construction while learning how to install skylights, translucent wall systems, canopies, and other daylighting products. You will work as part of an installation team, supporting a variety of commercial projects and gaining hands-on experience in construction practices and building envelope systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation of commercial daylighting and lighting products, including skylights and related systems.
• Support the installation of translucent wall systems and canopy structures on commercial job sites.
• Unload, handle, and stage materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently at the work area.
• Measure, cut, and prepare construction materials according to project specifications and installation requirements.
• Assist with flashing, sealing, waterproofing, and weatherproofing systems to ensure proper building envelope performance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site by removing debris, organizing tools, and following housekeeping procedures.
• Follow instructions from experienced installers and supervisors to complete tasks accurately and on schedule.
• Use hand tools and basic construction equipment in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and support successful completion of installation projects.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of experience in commercial construction or general labor in a construction environment.
• Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, carrying, and working on your feet for extended periods.
• Basic knowledge of construction practices and familiarity with commercial job sites.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail when measuring, cutting, and preparing materials.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work area and following safety procedures.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality for scheduled shifts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience assisting with installation of building components such as wall systems, canopies, or similar structures is a plus.
• Comfort using basic hand tools and construction equipment.
• Willingness to learn installation techniques for skylights, translucent wall systems, and other daylighting products.
• Steel toe boots required as part of job site safety attire.
• Interest in building a long-term career in commercial construction.

Work Environment

This position is based on commercial construction job sites and involves outdoor and indoor work depending on the project. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with work centered around field installation activities. You will use common construction tools and equipment and handle building materials such as panels, framing, and flashing components. The environment is active and physically demanding, requiring adherence to safety protocols at all times. Steel toe boots are required as part of the job site dress code, and additional personal protective equipment may be provided or required in accordance with safety standards.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Denver, CO.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
