Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized professional staffing and recruiting firm that is currently looking for degreed Engineers to fill contract positions in Rincon, GA.


JOB DESCRIPTION

• The Engineer 1 position requires 0-5 years of related experience and an accredited bachelor's degree.
• Responsible for applying engineering processes, design criteria, and software applications to design and construct power related systems.
• Supports estimate preparation, develops design options, and prepares construction specifications.
• Provide guidance, oversight, and quality assurance reviews for approved contractors as they develop design solutions, cost estimates, and construction packages.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Creating a safe work environment by putting safety first, understand the process used for planning, design, operation, construction, and maintenance
• Understanding the functions and activities of various internal departments involved in design, construction, and maintenance,
• Understanding design practices and work processes
• Using all software applications used in design
• Understanding industry and company design standards,
• Supporting design standard and criteria development for the system
• Supporting construction and maintenance teams during day-to-day operations
• Estimating material for projects
• Transmitting construction packages and supporting specifications.
• Skillsets and expertise required for this position include introductory engineering knowledge, basic problem-solving skills, limited discretion making independent decisions based on procedure and review with supervisor, basic discipline software knowledge,
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and the ability to build effective relationships with plant staff, design engineering staff and/or vendors.

Additional Requirements

• Candidate must have previous experience with walking down and marking up mechanical prints.
• Candidate must have experience with doing CAD work for mechanical P&IDs.
• Must be local or willing to relocate at own expense.
• This assignment is 50% field work and 50% CAD work and includes working on site at a Power Plant and outside in hot/cold weather.

This position may require some bending, lifting, climbing, prolonged sitting, prolonged walking, walking on gravel or crawling when necessary.
