Senior Actuarial Analyst

Senior Health Actuarial Analyst Role
Modelling-focused individual contributor. Closer to a modelling-heavy individual contributor than a pricing-underwriting partner because the ad emphasizes analytical models, validation, and automation rather than live deal support.
Senior Health actuarial analyst role with Medica in Madison, Wisconsin. You'll perform pricing, reserving, forecasting, experience studies, risk analysis, and product monitoring while building actuarial models and automating processes with SQL, R, Python, or SAS. The hybrid office pattern averages three onsite days per week.
Requirements:
Must have:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
- Must work onsite 3 days per week near Madison, WI
Strongly preferred:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field
- 1+ years of work experience beyond degree
- 4 actuarial exams/courses
- Strong written and communication skills
- Health insurance experience
- Database experience with SQL, R, SAS, or Python
Nice to have:
- Medicaid experience
