Available Shifts:
- Days/6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (Blood Bank/Generalist)
- Nights/3-12s/7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
You Will:
- Perform accurate and timely laboratory testing, analyzing proficiency testing samples within set time frames
- Assume departmental responsibilities in the absence of the supervisor
- Complete all required documentation related to patient results
- Perform stat procedures within specified turnaround times
- Exercise judgment and independent thinking in result correlation and interpretation
- Review and resolve pending logs and result logs
- Perform quality control procedures and handle problem/critical specimens or results
- 2-Year/Associate Degree required
- 4-Year/Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology preferred
- Less than 1 year of experience as a Medical Technologist
- State of Florida Technologist License required or ability to obtain during interview process
- Technologist License in one or more clinical specialty areas (Generalist highly preferred): Blood Bank, Serology, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology
- Certification as Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS), or equivalent
- Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in relevant field
Pay Range: $27.09 - $34.67 per hour
