Details LTAC setting within the ICU unit Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-19:00) Every other weekend required No on-call requirements May float within the hospital or sister campus depending on booking needs Epic EMR used for charting Requirements Active NC or compact RN license required, pending license not accepted Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required, with LTAC ICU experience specifically required BLS certification required Prior travel nursing experience required Experience with IV therapy, central line, peripheral line, and PICC line care/management Skilled in starting and maintaining IVs and titrating various IV drips Experience with complex wound care, infection prevention, and isolation precautions/PPE Cardiac monitoring and emergency response experience, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias Experience with multiple modes of mechanical ventilation (CV, CMV, A/C, SIMV, PS, PC, IRV /- PEEP) Skilled in suctioning (ETT, NT), tracheostomy care/management, and weaning from mechanical ventilation Epic EMR experience required SSN and DOB required for consideration Additional Information Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in a long-term acute care ICU setting Facility has 66 total staffed beds Scrub color requirement: royal blue and white Must pass an Advanced EKG exam as part of compliance for this specialty RTO limited to a maximum of 4 days, with only 1 holiday approval permitted Extensions limited to one for day shift or two for night shift, after which a 6-month wait is required before reapplying as a traveler Candidates who previously worked at the facility must have been separated for at least 1 year to return as a traveler First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates are not accepted within a 50-mile radius of the main campus American Traveler Job ID P-743782.
