Posting Details Position Information Position Title Admissions Recruitment Coordinator Job Description Missouri Western State University (MoWest) is actively seeking anenergetic, positive, self-driven, organized individual to fill a full-time Admissions Recruitment Coordinator position withour Admissions team. Admissions Recruitment Coordinators areresponsible for creating a positive and exciting impression ofMoWest for prospective students and their parents. They provide apersonalized touch to the enrollment efforts of the University bysupplying admissions information to prospective students. Thisincludes not only admissions requirements, but also details aboutacademic programs and degrees, aspects of student life, andinformation about financial aid. Additionally, they serve asUniversity representatives at various recruiting events andlocations. Each Recruitment Coordinator is assigned a geographic area torepresent. This position will be based out of the Missouri Western campus andworks year-round. ESSENTIAL DUTIES : Manages and meets target goals within a recruiting territory.This requires making contact and developing relationships withcounselors, visiting high schools and community colleges, attendingathletic and other high school and community related events andhelping students make the transition from high school tocollege. Communicates with students in person and via email, phonecalls, and texting. Aids in review and development of internal and externalcorrespondence and promotional materials and keeps apprised ofcompetitors’ materials. Recruits students from all backgrounds, includingnon-traditional students and transfer students. Assists with on-campus recruitment and orientation events. Attends day, night, and weekend college fairs throughout therecruitment cycle. Performs other duties of a similar nature or level. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: General services and procedures of colleges Good written and verbal communications and positiveinterpersonal skills Excellent time management Financial aid programs and scholarships Registration/Orientation setup and processes Perceiving the needs of students through the admissionsprocess Assessing situations and suggesting and implementingstrategies Ability to work well with diverse external and internalcontacts Organizing and presenting information Communication, as applied to interaction with students,coworkers, administration, and the general public Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university Valid Drivers License Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of MoWest programs/services, and experienceconducting high school visits, college fairs and/or campustours. One year of experience in student recruiting or an equivalentcombination of education and experience sufficient to successfullyperform the essential duties.
