Equipment Processing Technician

Job TitleThis position is responsible for the cleaning and processing of reusable pumps and durable medical equipment.ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities include assessing the physical condition of the equipment for damage, ensuring the devices will turn on and off to verify basic function, cleaning each device as per the manufacturer's Instructions for Use and established procedures, bagging clean devices and transporting them to clean storage area, staging equipment for pickup ensuring proper storage and charging of devices, maintaining all required electronic documentation for processing equipment, coordinating transport and pickup for damaged electronic medical equipment with the Biomed Department, retrieving reusable pumps and durable medical equipment throughout the main campus, managing equipment inventory and cleaning related projects, completing basic replacement of damaged or missing parts on DME, training to maintain cross functional understanding of other areas as well as departmental standards and safety policies, supporting other areas should demand for processing equipment reduce the priority of this particular role, implementing new medical equipment as it is introduced into the Hospital, maintaining a clean and orderly Decontamination Room, cleaning 20-25 pieces of reusable pumps and/or durable medical equipment per hour as per the training material provided, collecting soiled pumps and durable medical equipment twice per shift or as needed through the employees scheduled shift, and other duties as assigned.QualificationsThe qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, basic working knowledge of computers and programs, being a critical thinker with an ability to quickly adapt to a changing environment, strong product knowledge, excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written communications skills, demonstrated good ability to prioritize work, strong organizational skills and initiative to improve processes, consistently displaying a friendly, positive, and professional demeanor, working with limited supervision with no instruction needed on routine work and general instructions given on new lines of work, excellent customer service, professional attitude and appearance, and ability to work overtime and meet deadlines.Physical DemandsAbility to lift 40 lbs, repetitive motion, reaching, pushing, pulling carts weighing up to 250lbs, walking, standing for extended periods of time.What We Offer:Competitive pay & benefits!
