Help us turn complex prints into flawless parts. As a Fiber/CO2 Laser Machinist & CAD/CAM Programmer, you’ll set up, program, and run laser cutting equipment to deliver consistent, high-quality results.
What You’ll Tackle- Operate and set up fiber and/or CO2 laser cutting machines for precision component manufacturing.
- Interpret CAD models, blueprints, and detailed drawings to plan operations.
- Program parts using G-code and/or CAM platforms (Fusion 360, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Mastercam), optimizing toolpaths and nests.
- Dial in cutting parameters for different materials and thicknesses to reduce waste and meet spec.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and safety checks to ensure reliable performance.
- Verify quality using calipers, micrometers, and gauges; confirm dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
- Record machine settings, programs, and maintenance actions; contribute to process documentation.
- Partner with engineering and production so tooling and processes meet safety and performance standards.
- Champion workflow improvements that decrease manual handling and increase throughput.
- High school diploma or equivalent (required); technical diploma or associate degree in machining, manufacturing, or mechatronics (preferred).
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience programming and operating laser cutting equipment.
- CAD/CAM proficiency and fluency reading mechanical drawings and tolerances.
- Detail-oriented problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Manufacturing floor with machinery, noise, and metalworking activity.
- PPE is required at all times.
