About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Communications to serve as a senior strategic advisor and a key member of the leadership team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction of all external and internal communications, shaping the organizational narrative and brand strategy, and ensuring a coherent message across various channels and stakeholders. This role involves leading cross-industry message alignment, setting digital and social media strategies, and defining performance metrics. The Vice President will also be the primary spokesperson, manage media relations, and lead crisis communication responses. A minimum of 7 years' professional experience in communications, journalism, or a related field is required, with a preference for those with experience in dairy or agriculture, and a strong background in social media. Applicants for the Vice President of Communications position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's degree being a plus. The role demands exceptional knowledge of federal policy and the legislative landscape, particularly in Washington, DC. Experience in content development, writing, editing, and proofreading is essential, as is the ability to manage multiple priorities and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of operating at the executive level, managing staff, and advising senior leadership. Familiarity with agricultural policy and the dairy industry, as well as the ability to travel for industry-related events, is also required.
