Duration: 6-month contract

Schedule: On-site, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

Position Summary

\n

The Desktop Support Specialist delivers high-quality technical support to end users across the organization, ensuring the smooth operation of desktops, laptops, peripherals, and meeting technologies. This role emphasizes customer service, responsiveness, and technical excellence, supporting executives, VIPs, and both remote and onsite staff. Effective communication with technical and non-technical personnel is essential.

Key Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Provide technical support for the standard operation of core systems, including hardware, software, and peripherals.
\n
• Diagnose and resolve issues with laptops, desktops, printers, mobile devices, and other IT equipment.
\n
• Meet individual service level agreements (SLAs), quality targets, and customer satisfaction objectives.
\n
• Communicate technical information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
\n
• Document support activities and resolutions, maintaining accurate records in ticketing systems.
\n
• Collaborate with other IT teams to escalate and resolve complex issues.
\n
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support evolving business needs.
\n

Required Qualifications

\n

\n
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
\n
• Proven experience in a customer service-oriented technical support role.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.
\n
• Experience working in a fast-paced corporate IT environment.
\n
• Familiarity with networking fundamentals, including Wi-Fi, VPNs, and remote access tools.
\n
• Proficiency in supporting Microsoft Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office applications, and desktop and laptop hardware.
\n
• Familiarity with mobile device support.
\n
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions independently.
\n
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
\n

Preferred Qualifications

\n

\n
• Experience with ITIL-based support processes and ticketing systems, such as ServiceNow.
\n
• Knowledge of macOS and cross-platform support environments.
