Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexible work arrangements. However, team collaboration and communication are key, as you will be part of a supportive network of mental health practitioners. You will have access to our state-of-the-art electronic health record (EHR) systems, which enables effective tracking of patient progress and treatment outcomes. The work schedule generally runs Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts to meet patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to evaluate patients' psychological well-being and develop tailored treatment plans.

• Utilize various therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and psychodynamic therapy, to deliver effective individual and group therapy sessions.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure the delivery of holistic care.
\n
• Support patients during mental health crises, providing immediate intervention and guidance as needed.
\n
• Maintain meticulous documentation of all patient interactions and treatment plans in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
\n
• Engage in regular case conferences and team meetings to discuss patient progress and foster collaborative treatment approaches.
\n
• Provide education to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions, treatment options, and resources available in the community.
\n
• Stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in mental health treatment to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our organization serves a varied patient demographic, including adolescents, adults, and families from differing backgrounds. You will work with individuals managing chronic mental health conditions, those in crisis intervention scenarios, and patients pursuing ongoing mental health support to navigate life challenges. Our focus is on providing empirical, trauma-informed care that respects the unique experiences of each patient.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LCSW-C, LCPC, LMFT, or LCMFT in the state of Maryland.
\n
• Strong interpersonal communication skills demonstrated through the ability to build rapport and establish effective therapeutic relationships with patients.

• Thorough understanding of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment approaches, and the principles of trauma-informed care.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling is preferred.

• Experience conducting individual and group therapy using a variety of therapeutic techniques.

• Proven crisis intervention skills with the ability to handle acute situations calmly and professionally.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and commitment to maintaining accurate documentation.
