Assembly – Development PostingYou will be responsible for the assembling of individual parts into a finished product or component, by following blueprints and instructions.You must have:A high School Diploma or Equivalent. Tech School preferred2+ Years of assembly experience in manufacturing environmentExperience in the Aerospace industry is PreferredStrong attention to detailBasic computer skillsKnowledge of hand and power toolsKnowledge of fastener installation and torquing processesThe ability to follow instructionsThe ability to effectively communicate both written and verballyThe ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and company operation sheetsBasic troubleshooting SkillsThe ability to work independently with minimum supervisionThe ability to do complex assembly of partsThe ability to work with close toleranceThe ability to work overtime, including weekendsIn your role, you will:Follow Safety culture and wear PPE when requiredAssemble assigned parts on assembly line in accordance with production guidelinesConduct inspections to verify the integrity and performance of assembled parts, identifying defects, and reporting themUtilizing hand tools, power tools, and machinery to assemble parts, ensuring precision and adherence to specificationsCollaborate with other assembly line workers to meet production goalsFill out production paperwork and inspection procedures as requiredAssist with maintaining inventory, checking stock levels, and tracking materialsInterpret and analyze schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions to guide the assembly processPrepare work to be accomplished by studying parts lists and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materialsTroubleshoot basic assembly issues and make adjustments as neededMaintain a clean organized work areaWorking Conditions:Normal Production environments, subject to high noise levels from operating machines; physical hazards from moving equipment and sharp machine parts; breathing fumes, dust, and mist; skin exposure to oil and cutting fluid; exposure to sharp metal edges, and forklifts. May be asked to travel back and forth between Southwick and Westfield facilities.Physical Requirements:Must have ability to read applicable customer documents with or without corrective lenses. May have to lift up to thirty (30) pounds at a time, as required. Must be able to push, pull, reach overhead, stand, walk, climb stairs, bend and/or sit for long periods of time.
