Recruiting, Account Management, Sales Ops, credentialing, and travel exist so you can spend your time on business development—not on portal admin. What you will own New business and book growth Build and expand relationships with hospitals, health systems, and physician groups nationwide Open locum tenens job orders in core inpatient specialties and convert coverage needs into signed business Consult on staffing mix, market pricing, and coverage models that the client can actually staff Stay current on the competitive landscape, MSP/VMS programs, and specialty demand Delivery partnership Work a 3:1 recruiter-to-AE bench so orders move from open to presented to started Partner with your Account Manager on VMS submissions, rate cards, schedules, exhibits, scorecards, and service recovery Stay close enough to credentialing, first-day reporting, and provider issues that the client never wonders who owns the account Protect preferred-vendor standing while you hunt the next facility or service line Activity, pipeline and quota Track and record metrics through the full sales cycle in Assist (Salesforce) Meet and exceed activity and financial goals Prepare for client reviews and QBRs with clean pipeline, fill, and cancellation data Forecast honestly and flag at-risk starts early Who thrives in this seat Required 2+ years of locum tenens or healthcare staffing sales with a proven close record Comfort owning a territory or book: prospecting, discovery, negotiation, and expansion Strong written and verbal communication with CMOs, medical staff offices, HR, and MSP program managers Organization and grit in a metrics-driven sales environment Fluency with a CRM (Salesforce or comparable) Preferred Direct locum tenens AE experience in hospitalist, emergency medicine, psychiatry, anesthesiology/CRNA, radiology, or other inpatient specialties Experience selling into both direct facility accounts and MSP/VMS programs Track record holding preferred-vendor or tier status What we offer Competitive base and uncapped commissions A motivated recruiting team at a 3:1 recruiter-to-AE ratio Dedicated Account Manager and Sales Support coverage so you concentrate on business development Leadership that values and supports producers Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) Disability insurance All inquiries are confidential About Interim Physicians Founded in 1979, Interim Physicians helped create the locum tenens industry.
